There
are millions of people every day who are in trouble with their
credit. There are 2 approches most people take. Some bury
their head and run away from the problem and some tackle it
head on. If you want to get back into good credit and repair
your credit you must take a long hard look at your situation
and start organising yourself.
As
a first step you could go through all your expenses and
scrutinize your credit card and bank statements. You should
make a list of all the things you need as a necessity and
all those things that you can do without. One of the worst
things for adding up debt is recurring charges such as subscriptions
which you forget about.
Another
great step is to get a copy of your credit report so you
knoe your position exactly. By knowing what state you are
in you can start to turn things around (with some work)
There may be mistakes on your report, these need addressing
ASAP, Contact the credit bureau about how to do this.
Once
you know your situation and know where you stand you could
contact your creditors, and esplain the situation to them,
they will only get annoyed if you keep ignoring there calls
and correspondance. If you feel that you cannot manage to
do this yourself you may want to talk to a debt management
company. These companies work to reduce the debt you owe
to your creditors and often offer a free consultaion to
look at your situation.
